Before I had a garage for my car I used one. I definitely wouldn't spend that much money one one. Places like CarQuest carry ones that fit the FD and do the same as the more expensive ones.

The one I got tied around the bottom of the car to keep it from flapping in the wind or blowing up in the air. It was long enough to go around the tires, front and rear all the way so you couldn't see anything. It cost around $40 from CarQuest.

Due to my very expensive paint my daily routine is to wipe the 7 down, lock her up, and cover her with my car cover, this all being in my garage. Oh and if you have a wing make sure you have a bigger cover.......I had to make little slits for my touring wing to fit.......my car cover costed me around $185.00

I have the OEM MAZDA cover - Perfect Fit and soft fabric that won't scratch the paint. Comes in two sizes one for Base/Touring w/o Rear Wing and one for Cars w/ R-1 Rear Wing

Don't flame me for this, but right now my car is covered by a $20.00 wal-mart car cover, hey I guess it's better than nothing and supposed to be water repellant. I can't see spending 200.00 for a car cover...

I've had an Evolution 3 cover for almost 5 yrs and it's held up well. It was parked outside under a car port for 2 yrs with the cover and since garaged and covered. If it was outside all the time in the sun it would probably need replacing.

Check out the Noah cover. Best prices I found back in 1997 were from bigsky covers.com

I've also got the $30.00 Wal-mart cover. I have three, one for each car, and they protect the car from everything. It can rain hard anr the car stays dry, snow comes right off and it never froze to the car. Works good enough for me. Only thing is I buy three new covers every year because the elastic around the bottom seems to stretch out and get brittle.....Vic

Here in WV our winter's been fairly mild... but since my convertible was garaged kept all of it's "life" except for the past 6 months I figured a cover was fairly important.

Picked up mine thru Big Sky car covers out of Montana for $150. I could have looked around and found one cheaper, but this one offered the features I wanted.

CarCraft (Evolution 3)

I use it when the pollen is bad or if the car is going to sit for more then a few days.

Most covers don't scratch the car it's the dirt and dust on the paint that you slide the cover over that does the damage! If the car is already dusty, or even just driven to town and back chancesare that the road dust on the paint will scratch it.

I bouht a car cover at Costco for $40, and it works great. It is very thick. The best part is that if it every goes bad on you, Costco will replace it or give you your money back no matter what. Just keep your reciept; even if you don't have your reciept they will probably take it and give your money back.

I have the OEM cover, use it all the time, even in the garage and while at work. When the car is out in the sun it keeps it cool which is nice, and when its in the garage, it keeps the dust off. Something about the fabric repells dust.

Definitely get one. I've recently spent some dollars in a repaint and I'm now paranoid of anything getting near the car-even in the garage. And if you're like me and have converted your garage into a wannabe shop you'll need it even more. Besides, spend your time driving it not cleaning it.
