Hood Pins And C/F hood

Just got my vis c/f hood and I was wondering how to drill the holes for the hood pins in the carbon fiber? I was worried about the C/F cracking. Any advice would be great, dont want to mess up my new hood

might want to try using adhesive instead.

i use JB Weld a lot. part steel, part epoxy.

i use jb weld to hold all kinds of things together. including bracing under the hood that pops off.

I didn't have any problems drilling into my scoot carbon fiber hood. Just start out with a really small drill bit and work your way up. You install the pins first. Then use white out on the tips of the pins. Lower the hood down onto the pins to mark the holes, and start drilling. Instead of using the little screws to hold the top of the hood pin bracket to the hood, I just used 3M tape instead. Worked out really well.

Thanks for the help guys, I will post some pics of my car when I get it fixed up. My dad drove it two weeks ago and did not put the hood pins in, and the hood I had on it flew up and got bent to all hell, and dented the **** out of the sun roof, so I will post pics after I put the new hood on and get the sunroof fixed and painted.
