I actually love the looks of this kit second to the new R-Magic kit which is no longer available. Unfortunately the holes are oval and most lights are round. The smallest HID that I know of is Hella (i have a new pair in a box). It would leave a gap in the oval hole but shouldn't be a probelm fitting. I beleive Piia has HID with the BMW type angel eye but they are huge compared to the Hella's. I don't know if this helped any.

First of all I love your profile pic.
I figured the small oval hole would be next to impossible to fill, but what about the main bigger round lights?

Did you ever get the hella 90mm lights to fit your cwest kit? Ive seen on here where some people said the hella's 90mm wont fit. Im still trying to find out which lights would work best with a kaixen hid kit.

I have just been at Hella New Zealand. I grabbed my Cwest light pod, and a hella 90mm low beam.... there is no way that will fit in there without *extensively* modifying the pod and/or the lights, and maybe even the chassis??
So I grabbed a 50mm hella low beam unit... that will fit nicely, with a custom bracket to mount it.... only downside is a little bit of space around the edge of the light.
I am going to try this - changing the inner lights to the hella 50mm low beam, and leaving the outer light as is...... I will also try to close up the gap once they are mounted.....
and I promise I will post pics - cos I was frustrated with everyone saying "I'll post pics" and then never doing it!

I wish someone would make the covers of our C West lights out of something much stronger.
I am sick of having these covers crack as I'm sure everyone has this problem. Shine Auto should make them. Or maybe the glass man.

hellas do not fit without extensive modification
*edit: When I had my kit I bought the Hella HID's to try and fit them which they would not. You can easily find approved lights that do fit and look like HID's and are inexpensive but to custom mount the uber expensive hella units will be a major project without the results you are expecting.

When you say the hellas won't fit without extensive modification, do you mean the 50mm units, or the 90mm units.... I know the 90's won't fit
could you please post some links to these other approved lights you speak of, because I cannot find anything remotely close to fitting, that has a low beam pattern (and hence road legal)
thanks

I think the 80mm IPF is a fog lamp... so that really doesn't help trying to "legalise" these lights
Gotbanned .... how should I get in touch with regards to you being a hella dealer?
