Hey Everyone. I'm building a car for my dad and I have a 84 / 85 Rx7 Sunroof that I installed when I was in High School long ago. The sunroof is mostly complete however I am missing the rubber or black plastic inserts that guide the sunroof panel into the roof of the car. I am wondering if anyone has some extra parts I can buy from them or help me get ahold of 1 so I can make a mold of it? Very funny how we can get down to 1 piece that can throw off the build however I love the chase. Thanks for reading. I have some photos attached to help clarify what I am after. The first photo will show a photo I found online of the piece I need inserted into the roof. My car is next to that photo
Since that looks like you've got an OEM factory sunroof (the one that came standard on the 84-85 GSL-SEs, and I think the GSLs too), your best bet is checking the classified ads here for used parts. Someone may have the a whole sunroof panel that you can salvage those pieces from, or have just those parts available for sale. IIRC, the piece in question was made of metal, not plastic though.
The correct part name is a hinge "B" roof and the Mazda part number is 8346-62-871A . No longer available from Mazda so part car would be your only source.
