Heel Toe Pedal Cover/Replacement?

Anyone know of a good Cover or replacement for the accelerator pedal to achieve some good heel toeing? The standard setup in the FD is a bear, if you know what I mean. I'm thinking the brake and clutch pedals are fine but widening the accelerator would probably do it.

Thanks.

Crooked Willow used to sell a "widefoot" pedal, but I guess they don't anymore.

I am well satisfied with mine - I orig ordered his widest accel pedal but found it to be too wide for my extra wide foot so I cut abt 1/2" (1 row of holes) off the left side.

PM WidefootRacing. The Widefoot pedal adapters are designed to make heel and toe easy, and they work great. I have the small one and I think it should work for anyone.

I'm with Max. Have had a Widefoot (small) for years and love it. It mounts on the side of your gas pedal, so does not add any thickness, just width. Comes in small and large sizes. Does not require any drilling of your stock pedal or lever to mount.

Watch out if you let someone else drive your car though-- you'll both have some pucker to deal with if they're going for the brake and hit the gas instead

I've got SledDriver's dead pedal cover too. Nice piece, but I haven't got around to installing it. Goes well with the stock pedals.

Thanks ArtofWar...........

Am waiting for a reply from Widefoot now...........will check it out and decide..........

Out of curiosity, how the heck does it mount to the side of the pedal.........glue, screwed to the back or what?

Tks,

David

Ehhh, it's easier to see than explain-- the pedal part extends to the left of the gas pedal and is level with it. On the botton of the pedal part has a bracket that grabs both the pedal extender, and the lever that goes down to the gas pedal. You drill no holes in the stock gas pedal lever or gas pedal. No glue or tie wraps either. Just a couple (few?) machine screws between the pedal extender and the bracket (use locktite). You can go to Steve Ciriani's site and look up my review from the time that I installed it.

I have a set of BBK pedals in my ITS car. Got them from Summit for like $30 or so. Simple and effective.

Looks can be deceiving

Did you notice that there is no way to attach this pedal cover, other than by the "recommended" GLUE method???

What kind of glue is really going to stick "permanently" to the stock plastic pedal????

thx. I like that look... I have big feet, so that wide pedal may not be best for braking purposes, however, I cant manage to do heel toe because of my thigh room anyhow, so once I get a smaller wheel and maybe some seats that sit lower, Ill try. I dont have a tilt steering wheel so its limited at best. thx for the link and pic again.

Stevey629:

Personally I think SledDrivers look better than the one pictured with the RX7 on it, because the holes make it look a lot closer to stock than that other one pictured above. It may say RX7, but beyond that it doesn't match at all.

Also, Sled charges $50.00 for TWO pedals delivered; the accelerator and a matching dead pedal which make that whole area of the cockpit look pretty spiffy, versus ONE pedal for $55 probably plus freight.

Even though the insignia RX7 shows up on a flash photo, I doubt you can even read it in real life down under the dash.

Oh well, just my $.02.

David

Pssssssst..........Sled, when Stevey orders yours now send me that $5 on paypal................wink wink nudge nudge...............J/K............
