Pssh, driving your car is so overrated these days..The only way to go is shaved reverse lights so we can let our cars sit and rot in the garage..I mean seriously,DRIVE your car??Are you insane??

i do drive my car, but i really dont think everyone understands what a showcar is but im also not going to follow the rules, if you follow the rules you end up staying in line and i want to break the mold.

And if you aren't willing to "follow the rules",I sure hope you are willing to pay the fines for your actions,if in the event cops seem to care a little bit more than you are prepared for about "just missing a break light",as previously stated by you.

Come move to beautiful Kentucky where you can drive ANYTHING on the street as long as the VIN on the car matches the VIN on the title (seriously, the inspection consists of checking for this and nothing else.) No lights, no exhaust, no emissions, no problem!

Why are you (and many others here in this thread) focusing so much negative attention to his bumper modification? There are a ton of Rx7on this forum that are illegal one way or another. Catless anyone? Cops don't always notice the little things on the street. He'll be fine up until inspection time. Oh yea do you think installing a 20b in to an Rx7 is also dumb even though it's very illegal?

I believe people are more worried about safety more so than anything else. Someone might drive by and because he has no reverse lights could hit him

Like stated before its a showcar, so kudos to you.
Most of us don't even have front license plate, in WA thats a big no-no, but still lots of us have no front license plates.

It is apparent that some of you do not live in states where the popo looks for any excuse to pull a sports car over....running with shaved lights or similar in Cali would definitely get you pulled over. My car is making over 350 rwhp with no emissions but none of that is visible from the outside, so there is nothing to provoke a cop in pulling me over.

And to those of you still actually using the term "haters", STFU and grow up, seriously. God, no wonder our society's going into the *******.

You are completely right however, the focus of negative attention he has gotten in this thread over the illiegal issues is completely ridiculious. Did you know that a very huge percentage of Rx7 owners pollute the atmosphere? Hell lets even throw out huge chuncks of hateraid to everyone that has a busted tail light. You see my point?

For someone who also contributes to the pollution of our atmosphere with your emissions "illegal" Fd, I find it funny that you try to focus the attention away from yourself and blame pop culture over a stupid phrase. You would think a moderator would have the ability to focus their attention on something more constructive. Your the one that needs to grow up. The guy admitted that it was mostly for show. Lastly go down to your local po po station and ask what's the larger fine? A vehicle with no reverse/reflectors or something that's been modded to the point that it chokes people into submission in your already smog infested region?

I'm not trying to hate I'm just stating my opinion that I don't like it. The thing that I noticed the first time I layed eyes on the FD were the taillights and the unique reverse lights on the bumper. They were just something that was already out of the ordinary. But as a show car you have to do things that no one else does in order to stay ahead of the competition.

O and btw, you are supposed to take off the stock plastic diffuser when you add on the aftermarket one. Just trying to keep you ahead of the game

aw hell....were i am, a cop wouldn't know if it had lights there or not...and if you was to hit the car at night with it being that bright of a red your as blind as a bat and the 3rd brake light thing is crap too. Alot of cars dont haved 3rd brake lights from the factory. If he is driving at night, im sure he will have his lights on. If people are so worried about the law then dont buy a FD or any sports car for that matter

I personally think it looks great. I really like how it smoothed everything out and made it clean and simplified. It really made the rest of your mods pop because the small things don't take your eye away from the big mods (example the defuser).

As for it being illegal or not is not the question at hand but lets be honest here guys and gals do you REALLY think that a cop is going to even know for one second that the car is missing the reflective lights on the bumper? It's not like they knew they were then and now there not. They wouldn't even think twice about them not being there. Its not like a cop pulls out a hand book of each car it pulls over just to see what its "supposed" to look like and considering its so subtle I would doubt that the cop would even pay attention to it.

Needless to say keep up the good work on thinking outside the box. After all, that's what keep this sport moving forward right? Right!

I think it looks good, but at the same time, I'm so used to seeing something there, it looks empty now. I really dislike the fact that you don't have it there only as a reason of your safety and others while in the parking lot at night. TRUE people can see your lights on, BUT not everyone will notice you backing out. ****, I almost got hit twice today in SF by merging cars since they didn't see my car, and that is in the day. Nice mod, but not the smartest mod to me. I'm not "HATING" or giving "MAD PROPS". I'm just letting you know my opinion on your mod.
