i shaved off the rear bumper lights as well as the rear side lights, and like above has anyone else done this?????

 

Well, since it makes the car obviously not street legal....probably not.

The thing you probably would get busted for, around here anyway, would be the lack of the 3rd brake light.

why not i hated the rear bumper lights it make the car look so much nicer and remember my car is a showcar not a dd and also because ive never seen anyone with this done so to be a good showcar you have to break the mold and do different things sp i did

 

I absolutely hate anything that covers the rear tailights. Their the best design feature on the car, and body-colored add ons suck.

As far as the reverse lights/reflecters, it looks a little cleaner, but they were of a nice design as well.. so sort of unecessary, not to mention illegal. Gene Felber hollowed out the reflector portion, added mesh, and painted everything black except the reverse lights, and I thought it looked really cool.

 

I like the placement of our reverse light/reflectors. It allows us to have the uniquely styled tail lights.

Sure, the bumper is nice and smooth, but it looks incomplete IMO.

Also, I agree with ptrhahn that add-ons to the rear tail lights suck, whether they are body colored or any other color. I could never see the interest or appeal of those things, the RE-A ones or any other..they just look so bad.

 

Trying to be constructive...i like the diffuser!

 

GD, you found a way to make a FD UGLY.....looks straight out of the 80's, but where is the neon pin strips?

 

Wow i didnt know it was illegal to remove the 3rd light. My first rx7 i bought to build custom and turbo had that done to it already when i bought it (its an FC). This isn't going to go on the road for awhile but do i have to put one on? Im in New York. Thanks, Nick

 

the bumper lights are there for a reason, reverse lights and reflectors. those help FD tail lights in being LEGAL.

 

well i guess the judges didnt care since i won first place against 20 or so cars at the falken drift showoff and car show....and i really dont care about legal since its a SHOWCAR

no i was going against all the mazdas, mitsubishis, and scions. but good one, and thanks for the being unique comment thats what i was going for and im willing to bet if i showed everyone my stereo systems most people would on here would be like why would you do that since it added weight to the car. it just seems like most people on here think if you do anything from the norm then its stupid and since i dont race my car i guess im stupid as well.

i like it with out the reverse lights, not sure im a big fan of the tailight cover though, looks clean none-the-less. Love the diffuser too.

well i think it legal here but hell i really dont care how many cops are going to pull me over for a missing tail light

plenty of people have stripped their interiors just to add a layout of bequiet or dynomat. not everyone on here is strictly into racing and even people who race their sevens add be quiet. if its cool to them they will say so. they are just being honest. did u expect everyone to jock your car like oh **** in the 15 years i had this car i never thought of that..

 

i expected the resonses that i got i was just getting tired of the illegal part even after i told them its a showcar and still nobody got the point that showcars are not always street legal, but thanks for the comments and thanks even more for the good ones. no nobody copy me.....j/k go ahead
