front bumper

Does anyone remember what the front bumper was called on that Rx7 that had a Supra engine in it ( it was on a magazine cover several years back ) . They called the car Supra 7. The bumper had two large lights on either side of the cooler ducts. I have the bumper, just can't remember waht they called it.

Thanks

An article in Turbo with that car says
"A custom rear treatment joins the Re Amemiya body armor to add...."

So I assume RE Amemiya

That's the bumper alright. Originally it came with a silly bar of fiberglass across the radiator opening. In that shot it's cut out and I cut mine out also. It was hell to fill in properly and block sand.

So you think it's Apexi ? Apexi what ?

Dang that article must be wrong then.

Got the Turbo issue sitting in my lap and read through it again. Says "The Supra-7 tallies righteous style points for its immaculately installed RE Amemiya fender flares and front fascia."

But yeah it does look like Apexi really.

Yes, the magazine is wrong. No surprise really, magazines are wrong a lot!

Was that the same car in Options magazine with the 2JZ that SP Engineering did?

It's wasn't very drivable, though I do remember they drove it out to Texas or something like that. It doesn't have a front sway bar, the engine doesn't fit well in the engine bay (accented by the beautiful hood) and the car had a ton of problems and bugs to iron out.
As far as I know, it's never made a pass that was worth mentioning. Just because the engine is different, doesn't mean the car is immune to problems.

Yea, the car also had 213497345783849562 and 1 suspension issues. To this day, I haven't heard anything good about the car, other than it was a CYM

They were redoing the whole car again, and they got rid of most the parts including the suspension, but now it's being made into a drag car.

I dont remember where I heard this so take it with a grain of salt. The engine made killer horsepower but didn't mate well with the FDs chassis. I think a mid-12 second pass was the best it ever pulled.
