FD sideskirts needed

Hi guys,

I ordered a set of RE Amemiya sideskirts (Step D-2) for my FD from an online shop on April 20th. After numerous calls made by me to get any status on the order, I was finally told that the parts came in through customs last week and that I should receive them today. But after getting the run-around for the past two months, I decided to call them just one more time to confirm shipment of my parts. After being put on hold for 15 minutes, I hang up and call again. This time I get to my contact directly and was informed that the parts did not make it. They are trying to resolve the issue and figure out what went wrong.

My car in the meantime, has been sitting in the shop for 4 weeks waiting to be painted. The shop has been gracious enough to hold off on the painting until I get the sideskirts. Now I have none and the online shop has no other skirts in stock.

Does anybody know of any shop I can order skirts from that have them in stock? Or is anybody selling sideskirts for an FD? I am interested in the RE Amemiya (AD Step D-2), A'pexi, or even the new 2002 OEM japanese sideskirts.

I will never do business with this online business/shop again. Their customer service was horrible and they did not make once effort to keep me updated on my parts. I was the one who always had to call to get status on my order. And I was always told that the part was on the boat heading its way here. If any of you are interested in who this shop is, pm me offline and I will tell you.

Thanks for letting me vent,

Anthony

Anthony, who was the merchant? If you dont feel comfy posting, please pm them to me. Help out the fellow rotorheads.

As for a company that can get R.E. skirts, www.jt-imports.com has them on their site, and from the few emails ive sent, he seems friendly.

Pm is coming your way...

Jason seems like a good guy to deal business with...only problem is I can't afford to wait another 6 weeks for sideskirts to arrive while my car is taking up valuable floor space at the shop....if i don't find a resolution soon, i'll just have them paint the car as is without sideskirts. godammit. *sigh*

I'm sure the shop can keep extra paint from the same lot for when you do get them in, and should be able to do them under similar enviromental conditions. As long as you have close to the same temp, humidity, etc and the same guy painting, it should come close enough. Best of luck.

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for the response. I wanted to get these sideskirts and have the shop mold and blend it with the rest of the body. And for that, they would prefer to have the parts and paint the car all at once. I was planning on painting the car a darker silver. I might just go through with it and maybe ask them to install and try blending the paint in with the fenders.

*sigh*

i hate getting the run around
