Very nice work for sure. Question - did you ever get the PLX AIT sensor to work? Mine didn't work so I called up PLX and then ordered the AIT probe from them. The result? Still doesn't work 
Haven't had the time to check into this as the car is at a body shop undergoing some "blinging".

David, i haven't taken a look at my AIT sensor or the module yet, I didn't know you had a problem too. I was thinking I just broke one of the wires (they are really thin) when i was pulling the sensor lead into the cabin. But maybe this isn't the case. It would be really weird if two units were bad, I'm not sure what can really go wrong in there unless it was a bad batch. I need to go buy a tester, then i'll test my wires from inside the car to the sensor itself for connectivity, if they are fine then its got to be something with the module. I'll try to do it this weekend and I'll keep you posted. If you can't get it sorted out, let me know if you want a refund.
Dan, I'm pretty sure I know what you are thinking. I had originally planned to mount them in the stock Water Temp and Oil Pres. locations. The problem i had was the bevel for the gauges on the cluster (where the chrome rings sit), it just didn't look right. If you were to dremel out the beveled edge on the cluster and get them to sit flush it would look amazing. The depth of these is extremely shallow, so there is quite a bit of room for them.
But if you are thinking of putting them somewhere else I have no idea where haha.
What I wish PLX would do is enable a video output on these gauges. Then you could route them into a splitter/combo box (think of how security camera monitors work they show at least 4 signals at once), then that combo box would have a single video out, which would go into my double din head unit, and I'd have at least 4 gauges at once displayed on my head unit (almost like a GTR, or the HKS unit).
But since the gauges themselves just receive a Serial Cable signal from the modules, maybe there is a way to go straight from the module to a box the receives all of the serial cables and outputs a single RCA video cable. That kind of set up would make them a ton of money with so many people having video capable head units already.

Another update, my car is finally lowered back down to acceptable levels (if anyone saw it at deals gap it looked like it had a lift kit compared to everyone else's haha). I took the H&R springs off my old stock struts and put them on another set of stockers. The rubber mounts where the springs sits were all messed up on the old ones, causing me too loose about half an inch in ride height, now I just barely clear the fenders.
It looks a million times better but now the lip scrapes all the time, maybe it will break and i'll have an excuse to get a burnout front end haha.

No a refund isn't necessary was just wondering if you overcame the issue. My problem seems that the connector on the PLX module is loose and it causes the reading to vary by several hundred degrees which is not too useful for an AIT sensor

My question is, does this cause your readings to vary constantly? All of mine (water temp, oil temp, oil pressure) vary rapidly all of the time. So instead of my water temps just being at 195 and changing smoothly between temps as they rise, it bounces between 190 and 200 constantly, hitting all of the numbers inbetween randomly, very quickly making it hard to read when on the digital display setting. Do you have this problem? or does it just say 195 degrees when its 195 degrees?
I'm thinking that this may be caused by the sensor not being grounded properly.

Looks like we are having different problems. Mine is pegged at the max temperature (I think that means the module is not getting a signal from the sensor). Which is why I think I have a problem with the wiring going from the sensor to the module.
Another question on your other modules, all of the PLX sensors and modules have a signal wire and a ground wire. On their forum it says you don't really need the ground as the sensors (water temp for example) are screwed into something that is grounded by the block, so I didn't connect the grounds to anything, just one signal wire from each sensor is connected.

Just did a search on the PLX forum and the gauges should not jump around like they do so I'll be looking into this when I get the car back. There is also a bunch of info on the AIT and ground noise pegging the readings so you should call PLX on this I think.
