FD chrome e-brake button pix
sorry, but i dont like it. your craftsmanship is great but bad placement in my opinion. i feel it would be a pain to accuratly monitor things.
please dont take what i said the wrong way.

I disagree. Everything is a glance away, just like any other gauge. The gauges are in an ideal location for anyone wanting to keep a stock look. The only gauge that "might" be slightly more difficult to monitor is the boost gauge. The FACT is, that you really don't need to look at boost gauge very often. Once the car is tuned, and the boost is set, I look at the gauge very infrequently. Its just not necessary if your car is running properly.

yea, I was just posting the ebrake tip but it does match the gauge surrounds. Install was easy but to unscrew and screw in the new one you really need to use pliers (protected properly as to not scratch the nib)....
i swear my fd has one and i did'nt do it.....
thanks Sgtblue, I also have the 99 nardi wheel which is very nice....
for those considering this - you can mount the gauges in the top din slot and move the radio down below if seeing the gauges is a problem.

It's really nothing more complicated than unscrewing the old (black) button and replacing it with the newer chrome or satin finished button from the Miata. Identitical design, just different color. If it's never been off, the old button can be difficult to break free. I guess I have strong fingers and used a piece of toolbox drawer liner to get a good grip. Twist off slowly, being careful not to loose the spring behind it. Once off, replace spring, screw new button on tight and your done.
I think the chrome **** was ~ $8 from Malloy.
