good job ruining all your useable space with a huge box, 8" subs drop right into the shock towers, you dont need fullrange speakers in back it ruins imaging bouncing off the glass anyways

you might want to wrap so electrical tape around the exposed part of that ground wire... and you really don't need those midrange speakers. the sub will distorte their sound.

I used one of the wells behind the seats of my vert to build a fiberglass enclosure for my Boston Pro 8. I did the same thing years ago with a JL 10Wsomethingoranother(don't remember which series), but it was just too much rattle from all the molding.
Both of those boxes fit underneath the rear deck cover. I'm trying to decide if the sound quality is good enough under the deck or not. I'd prefer to have the 8 in a box that fires directly into the cockpit of the car from between the two seats. But I'm getting old enough that a system in my car just isn't worth all the extra effort.

i have a 10" right now and i doubt mine will fit in the storage bins without modification of the stock parts
the opening of the bin is about the same length as the sub i have now . . . . decisions decisions . . .

The storage bin lid doesn't rattle at all. I haven't tested it in car yet(it's disassembled), but with my old set up the trim didn't rattle at all.
I use to have two mtx 8" subs in a box behind the hatch cover, but it was too big(can't use it with my strut bar now), too high up, and I didn't need that much power(had it turned down most the time). I only listen to metal or death metal, so one 200wrms 8" is plenty.

How much air space do alpine 12s need? I've always been a vert owner so I'm not too familiar with coupes but is there enough room to make boxes big enough? I had a hard time making enough space for a JL 10 in the well. I owned a Boston Pro 12" and there was no way I was fitting it. The old Boston Pro line was known for needing very little sealed box space. I'd have to dig up the product info, but the 8 needed only .5 cu., the 10 something like .75, and the 12 was 1.0. My JL 10 needed 1.0 cu......I think, it's been a while. I'd think most any 12 would need 1.25 cu. of space?
Good info here guys. Do you think I can fit 2 JL 10w6's in each rear bin? I know for a fact that my JL 12w7's are overkill for the FC, and I don't have enough room for them.
Also, I like to bump every now and then, but not all the time. From the looks of it, I might be okay with just one 10" sub.

If your going to put it in the bin. You will want to do what I did and cut the plastic (you can see it in the picture I posted) on the lid to relieve pressure and recarpet the top, or it WILL sound like crap with the lid closed.
