Door speaker help

When I bought my car it came with an aftermarket system. The speaker in the front driver door blew. Also the window never fully went down. I guess cause bc it was too deep.

I need to replace it. What are my options. Has anyone tried this for added clearance? Or is there a particular speaker that works

Amazon Amazon

is there a popular 6.5 speaker that I should get ?

Thanks

I used the ones from PVC Speaker Adapters - CNC Machined - In Stock or Custom Made as is in like post 11 of the above thread.
Stick to less than 2.75" depth for the speaker, I believe it was. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Going to get a pair of these for sure here soon, reviews look pretty good all things considered. Refer to the post above regarding speaker depth. If you order them from somewhere like Crutchfield, they are usually good about returns and such if they do not fit. Recommend getting XTC speaker baffles to put behind the speakers when you install, as they will greatly help with sound quality. Quick google search will find them for the speaker size you go with. All that dead space between the speaker and the door frame will allow the sound to travel back there and rattle around. The baffles will force the sound into the cabin for a much better listen.
