I just got a Greddy 60mm Electronic Boost (Black) gauge for my FD which i picked up a month ago. after i installed it and turned it on, i was very disappointed to see that the needle didn't light up red or at least orange. in all the pictures of the gauge that i've seen online, when lit up, the needle looks red.

1. Is there something wrong with my gauge, or do all the Greddy black gauges look like this?

2. Is there something i can do about it to make it glow red or orange, perhaps change the bulb that lights up the needle?

The needle for my gauge lights up like a peach color...not really white and not really orange...i hate it...

Damn, i don't know how to attach files here...but, anyway, basically the needle of the gauge lights up like a peach color...anyone that has the Greddy black gauge, could you please post pics of your gauge lit up so i can compare it to the one i have?

When mine lights up it looks like a three dimensional red elephant with wings. Anybody else have this problem?

Nice, i got it to work...now tell me if this looks familiar to the rest of you Greddy Electronic Gauge owners...is it supposed to look orangy/peachish? I thought it was supposed to be red...can people with Greddy Gauges post pictures so as to compare with what i have here?

 

I have the same Greddy gauge, and the needle is definately darker than your picture. Maybe it's the lighting but your needle looks really light.

Hey eric, you think you could post a picture of your gauge lit up at nigth so i can compare that with mine? i really want to know what it's suposed to look like. I've searched all over this forum but i can't find anything. i've seen greddy gauges lit up at night, but i'm not sure if they're the white ones or the black ones, because i'm sure the white one light up fine because the needle itself is already red...

 

I don't have a digital camera, but I'll see if I can borrow a friends. I'll let you know if I can get a hold of a decent one.
