Custom Subwoofer boxes for a fd

Anyone have a subwoofer box in your FD? Post your pics. I just got a in-dash 7" dvd and need to get a custom box made for one JL 10W7. Thanks..

I just had mine completed. It's a full custom fiberglass enclosure for a 10W7, two JL amps and two of my custom license plates. I'll try and get pictures, but I don't want you copying it .

I believe I could put it in there if I wanted to, but why would I? The enclosure I have is two-pieces and fully removable. It doesn't go in to the spare tire wheel well at all either.

It'll be a little bit before I post pics. I'm having my bodyshop repaint the enclosure and clean it up a bit (Sound shop did an extremelly poor job on the paint).

If you guys want to see my old enclosure, I can post pictures of that? It was just one sub and one amp in the hatch.

I build a little sub box based off of DamonB's plans a while back. Great for 1 - 10 inch, easy to do. Takes some delicate measuring and about 2 hours of design work to get the angles right, but it wedges perfectly under the strut bar with it's own pressure to hold it down. Took an afternoon at the most to build with crappy 99$ tablesaw and some mdf.

I'm pretty sure DamonB posted the plans, you'll have to do your own searching. Mine had to be modified substantially because the magnet and the basket on my 10 were quite large, but the basic idea was lifted from his post.

I don't get that at all. Even if you were planning to sell the damn thing, it's not like anyone could copy all your plans off a picture or two. :P

This comment posted above yours should answer exactly why I'm hesitant to post pictures of my new set-up:

He based it off plans, not a picture. But it's your call... enjoy the setup all by yourself. :/

It was okay for the time being since I bought it when I was on a tight budget. I grew out of it FAST though. Just didn't hit hard enough for me. I listen to music with a LOT of bass usually so I like it to sound clean and hit very hard.

I moved on to a 10" W7. It should do the job .
