Sweet.. I just got my 10W7 and a 500/1 amp for mine.. Still deciding on door and rear speakers.. Any ideas?
It was okay for the time being since I bought it when I was on a tight budget. I grew out of it FAST though. Just didn't hit hard enough for me. I listen to music with a LOT of bass usually so I like it to sound clean and hit very hard.
I moved on to a 10" W7. It should do the job .

NICE...I like your taste my man.
I'm running MB Quarts Q series in the doors and MB Quarts rvf or something series in the rear. I haven't had a chance to really hear the system yet, but it should sound damn good. I've been extremelly happy with the sound quality the MB's produce. They're a little pricey, but IMO definitely worth the extra money.
Whatever you decide on, I'd suggest going with higher quality "titanium" speakers.

Anyone seen more then 2 subs done in a 3rd gen? JL nice.. But rather run Image Dynamics.. IDMAX sound much better then the w7's.. I think. What you guys running for front stage? Anyone do anything else besides stock location?

Yes. I've done many tests between drivers for SQ.. The Idmax has better dynamics and overall SQ.. w7 takes little more power, and gets barely louder.. What nice about the Idmax is it don't need a ton of power.. 500-750rms for the 12.. Box sizes are nice as well.. 1.3-1.5ft3 sealed for the 12" You need something with a smaller box size. the IDQv.2 are nice.. High end SQ.. small boxes. don't need a ton of power..

omg you guys have really gone all out... this is my work of art
box is straight from my miata although slightly modded. subs are 2x10 inch alpine type S, i had to use the grills cos the foam surround on one of them was missing. LOL
box takes me 5 mins to remove or 20 if you dont know how i installed it.
obvisouly when the hatch is lowered you can only see the subs.

Custom Subwoofer Boxes
I too thought a 10W7 would make a killer sub for the FD. I purchased one and built the sealed box based JL Audio specs and attached an amp to drive it. I had it in the car and thought it looked ridiculous because of its size. It was too large to fit under the strut bar. I decided to go back to the drawing board, this time using an 8W7. I built the ported box based on JL Audio specs and mounted 2 JL amps on the back side of the box (between the cabin divider and the box). The ported 8w7 box sounds great, fits under the strut brace and almost looks factory. I even have room in the rear for an extra set of Infinity Kappa 6x9s in carpeted boxes.

Yea, but it doesn't matter if your sub box looks bad, the RHD makes up for it, IMO. Heck, even owning an FD makes up for it!
