Check it out: Space-saver sub

Guys I almost bought one but my installer convinced me to stick with a proper subwoofer + box set-up for better sound quality however I know space is an issue for some so this may be the solution. This Pioneer woofer is designed so that you can put stuff on it and it wont' be scratched or damaged to certain extent. I listened to it in a Mini Cooper S, it didn't give ear bleeding bass however it is still enough. I think it'd sound pretty good with a pair of quality components. I didn't listen to Alpine version or Infinity Basslink but the guy at the audioshop told me the Pioneer gives more bass.

It's hard to believe it has an amp and two 6" subs. I measured the trunk of my car and it doesn't fit under the rear strut brace area, it only fits close to the taillight area. Anyway I hope it helps some in here looking for sub.

I was expecting to see something more gay than that. Looks to only be sold in the UK and EU though.
seems to go for anywhere from $375-$475 USD.

I have the basslink and it's a very "boomy" bass. It's not tight and responsive like a sealed sub would be, and I prefer the sealed bass sound over this basslink. How would you say the pioneer one sounds in that respect?

The audio shop here that sells the Pioneer is owned by two brothers. They had the Pioneer in their Mini Cooper S and an Alpine (basslink style) box for sale in their shop they may have a Basslink also I'm not sure. There must be a reason they picked this product in their car over Alpine or Infinity. They told me this sounds much better and gives stronger bass. My initial impressions were if someone is not after massive boom/bass this will do. I really think with a pair of quality components this will sound pretty good. It has the gain and some other function buttons on a remote that you can use in the car without needing to adjust it on the box.

Sound is subjective and difficult to explain with words but I think Pioneer sounds pretty good. Here is a video I found which may help:
