Aftermarket Gauges in dash - pic

Has anyone connected an aftermarket speedo in an FD?

Could I connect directly into the speedo sensor in the transmission?

Cannot connect into stock harness as it no longer is in the car, will be running an autometer digital speedo.

It doesn't say on the site how it uses a signal or even how to calibrate it. I suppose you could just could it up to the speedo sensor.

Any particular reason you went with this style of gauges?

Went with this style gauges because all my a-pillar gauges are already autometer and none of my stock dash gauges worked anyway.

I kmow there are nicer gauges out there and alot of people dont like digital, buy I like the way it looks and when your heavy on the throttle digital gives you the info you need at a quick glance so I dont have to look away from the road any longer than I have to.

Thanks for the info, was thinking of just hooking it up to the speedo sensor and see what happens, just didnt want to spend the money first on a gauge that may not work.

^ yeah it looks like your watching the tv show 24 >_>

If you ever decide to go back to dial gauges look into speedhut gauges. They are seriously awesome. Custom options for a very respectable price.

Heres the gallery from their site, down near the bottom theres a pic of an FD cluster with their 4" tach in it. I think it looks pretty sweet.

Montego called it. Search GMonsen. His threads showed his custom cluster that looked pretty nice using autometer gauges.
