Carbon fiber radiator panel for RX-7 FD

Hey,

So a few of you already purchased parts from me and I hope the word of mouth will work!

Here is a part that I wanted to do for a long time: A radiator panel in carbon fiber for RX-7 FD.

Now I finished the mould and the part was just finished today!

I will meet my friend who has an FD and try the fitment this week.

Here are some pictures taken tonight. I will add some pics of the panel fitted on the car as soon as I can!

Any comment appreciated!

+1 I've always wanted one for the FD. Cleans up the engine bay nicely

I will try the fitment this week and if everything is ok, I can release the product.

The price should be around 200 USD + shipping (20 USD I guess). I might do a GB immediately!

You should also make a smaller one that doesn't extend back so far - for people with aftermarket SMIC/Intakes

I am not sure to be honest! I didn't have the chance to try the fitment as my friend is out of town!

With the right template, this is totally doable!

No real update I am afraid. I will send the sample with 2 AD9 hoods and a RE-GT kit that a forum member ordered so if everything goes smoothly we should have pictures soon!

So sorry for the delay!

OK people I am tired of waiting. Is somebody ready to take the chance against a good discount? I will need some nice pictures though! Anybody willing to go for it and get a bargain can PM me or email: info@carbonrx7.com

The panel is in my storage ready for dispatch!

Thanks for the help!

OK update finally!

So Alden just received the radiator panel and made a quick fit on his FD. Here is the feedback with pictures and text:

"Hey marc, got the parts and started fitting the radiator panel like I said I would. It's not completely secure yet. I want to say the template was meant for a JDM a/c condensor. The big square cutout on the right side close to the battery doesn't fit my a/c line and drier. I may have to cut some of it to fit.

Also I am not sure if it'll fit the intercooler I have. I may also have to cut a little off."

So Alden will cut the panel to make it fit on his car and I will modify the mould accordingly. For those with japanese imports, this will fit!

Marc, Actually I think its because I have the MANA a/c drier system, I want to say this should fit perfectly for those who have the DENSO system since the refrigerant site glass is on top of the drier. I have a buddy that has the Denso system with stock SMIC i'll fit for everyone to see soon before I start hacking up a BEAUTIFUL piece.
