Bose Wiring Diagram
Is the diagram available anywhere else? The thumbnail won't load the attachment, I have tried 3 different browsers with no luck.
Thanks
Edit:
Found it at this location, listed in another thread.

I've Confirmed. I wired from the 5V RCA pre-amp outputs direct into the Bose harness with all teh stock Bose gear still in the car. I was even able to turn off the amp in the headunit. The sound at low and mid levels is amazing. At highest levels (ie, drivign with the sunroof and windows open and still being able to hear) I'm getting some static - not normal distortion, but some other - only occasional - noise/static. I have no idea if this is because of my wiring solution or not at this point.
I have the Adapter and may try it just to see if I get a more reliable high-volume sound - maybe it will remove some grounding issue, interference, or static buildup issues? we will see.
But in terms of whether it works, and whether the voltage is compatible with a 5V preamp out - it sure is.

can you please explain how you did this directly without the adapter?
Lots of head-scratching on the R/B and R/G wires, so thought I'd share for posterity as they can be found on main connector but not in the audio diagram. You can find these in wiring diagram I-2 on page Z-80. R/B is the positive line from the dimmer circuit and R/G is the negative line (back to the dimmer circuit). For those who have hooked gauges into the ashtray light, you may already know that dimmer ground is not the same as ground. For a bulb to dim, its ground must return to the dimmer circuit's ground. This goes for the original radio's illumination too.
Your aftermarket head unit probably doesn't work this way and thus won't have a dimmer negative connector. It probably has a single orange connector called "illumination", the purpose of which *isn't* to allow your dimmer to work, and *isn't* to turn on the radio's back lighting. The purpose of the orange illumination wire is to dim the head unit at night - i.e. when your headlights are on - so it expects to receive a +12 signal when your headlights are on. It just so happens that R/B will send out +12v when your headlights are on, so if you need or want the radio's nighttime dimness function then you can connect the R/B connector to the radio's orange illumination wire. But DO NOT CONNECT R/G as I've seen advised in places because that can burn out your cluster: https://www.reddit.com/r/7thgencivic..._illumination/
As noted in the reddit thread, nighttime dimming may not be worth the hassle and so you can just cap all these wires.
Also worth noting another mystery wire, "radio relay", which apparently powered the bose amps. You can read about here:
