Question Bazooka tube...

I installed a Bazooka tube in my FC today. Sounds great but whenever I turn on my headunit or go to the next track, the tube makes a "pop/thump" sound. I checked my wires and theyre good. Ive installed systems before and havent had this problem.

Could it be a bad ground coming from the speakers amp? ( the Bazooka tube has a built in amp )

I'm goint to ground it somewhere else tomorrow and see if that fixes it but I want other opinions from you guys. Thanks!

Hello,
What did you use for the power source for the tube? If it makes a thump every track then you either have a bad ground or your power source is coming from something that has an interfering signal. Try your fuse box but be sure you still use an inline fuse on the power source for your insurance.
Good Luck,
Benny

I ran the power straight to the battery. I put the fuse about 3-4 inches from the battery. I'll check my ground later today and see if that helps. Thanks.

It's definitely a grounding problem. Move your ground. Also, make sure the tube is not touching anything metal.

Ok, so this is an old post, but the thump is because the amp from the sub is either on all the time, or it's going on the same time as the head unit. If there's a remote connection to the sub that you can run from your head unit, do it. That will take care of that power on thump. As far as the track to track...I don't have a clue to what that is.
