Bass frequency??anyone know which is best
i have the alpine cdm-7861 deck with 2 sws-1040 and a
mrv-100m amp
it says on my deck i can change the frequency from 60,80,100,200
which is the best??
i want more deep loud bass

I am assuming you are talking about the bass adjustment point for the bass control, and not the built in sub X-over on the deck?
What sort of enclosure do you have the sub(s) mounted in?

I would set it at 60 or 80, depending on your x-over...
60 will give you lower bass, 80 or 100 will give you louder bass.
Unless you don't have any mid range then I wouldn't set it up to 120.

By running it @ 60 Hz you will be able to turn up the gain on your amps and drive them harder so your low and ultra low Bass notes will increase in SPL because you are not wasting as much amp on the 60 to 80 range. It will also make your subs a little tighter sounding on those bass drum kicks ... don't worry the R&B/Rap stuff will still booooom!!

What you said only works on X overs, its not applicable to variable boost centers (or equalization) as in this case.
