hey man just wanted to warn you about reading to much into an amp. ive been in the industry for 6 years and have seen all sorts of claims about power, on all sorts of amps. the way they get those number is they see what the max output is and they take the highest number they get. funny thing is they dont care how long or ow much noise ratio there is. boss is a crap amp sure they look big and say they have alot of power, but they really dont. you would be much happier going with a good quality amp such as alpine or mtx or even a jbl. there are tons of good amps on the market. the rule of thumb i use in buying anything is you usually get what you pay for. so if your paying 150 bucks for an amp your gonna get crap . im out

Ive used boss before, its RMS is no-where near what they say...I forgot how to fiqure out how many watts RMS you can fiqure it out by some kind of calculation with the outputs and bla bla bla bla. But mine was 300x2 rms and I was only getting 150/ch on the meter. you can get a lot better for your money...try MA audio amps on ebay they sell them cheap there and they ARE AWESOME!

Only get the BOSS if you get it for free. I'm not saying thier junk, just really really low on the amp food chain. there are much better amps out there for the money.

I have 2 Fosgate BD500.1's Excellent sub amps and a Fosgate Punch 600.4 that would run your mids and tweets just fine. I'm replacing my system with bigger ones, I'm selling then all for 200 each or 500 for all 3, all are 2001 year models. Fosgate actually promotes there amps at a lower rating than they will actually produce and still have a great signal to noise ratio. Example, the BD500.1's are rated at 250 X1 into 4ohms or 500 X1 into 2ohms. In the box however there is a slip for that amp where it has been tested by an individual at the manufacture, on the slip it lists the actual measurements of that amp at 658 Watts into 2ohms. Thats the difference between a reputable manufacturer and a cheapo one. The Good one knows he's good and doesn't need to post rediculous test results on his box to get people to buy his product. they buy it because they know it's good. Fosgate, Alpine, Clarion, JBL would all be amps i can personally recommend.

mtx?? did someone say mtx was a "quality" amp? MTX every one of those garbage amps ive installed sound like crap! ive been installing radios & amps as a side job for over 10 yrs now and my opinion for what its worth is buy an mtx if its all you can afford. other wise buy the fosgate or clarion they are two good picks.

We sell MTX at my store and they are a lot better than your giving them credit for (ive never had a problem with them or anyone else we have sold to), but this brings up back to the point..

LOL

To each his own, but I was never a fan of the Rockford Line...

Especially since the days of the old Punch HD amps, we used to sell them and somehow we got like 3 outta 5 of them back for warranty?
