Question Authentic Apexi N1 Duals ??

Hey everyone,

i was wondering how you can tell if an apexi n1 dual is authentic or not? i've seen some with apexi badges underneath and some without. can anyone give me a hint on how to tell if they're real or not? or do they make apexi n1 knock offs that are exactly the same? ( piping, bend, cans and resonators?) pics would help too, thanks! oh and i know that the motoria is a copy of the n1 but the piping is split in different places.

the bottom of mine are pretty scraped up so theres no way in telling if there was a badge there or not. the cans, piping and y pipe look exactly the same as the picture above though, would this be a good determining factor that it in fact is an authentic n1?

Yea, they're real. I do drive a FC. Mine are real too. I paid close to $900 for mine after shipping. I'd rather not have to ship mine...anyone willing to pickup?

They do look genuine but without the badges I don't know how you would know for sure. Look at the bottom of your mufflers to see if maybe the badges used to be there but were taken off in some way or another. A question I do have, why are you needing to know? Are you going to be selling them or is it just a curiousity you have and want to find out?

i looked under them and they're scraped up pretty good so i can't tell. i'd like to know just for reference, i purchased them a few days ago and was just wondering in case i do sell them one day. i'm almost positive that they are genuine since no one makes an exact copy of it. thanks everyone!

Actually, about 5-6 years ago there were plenty of Apexi exhaust copies running around. Apexi was very popular and with anything popular, copies will come. Apexi hasn't been that popular for exhausts the last few years so the copies died off.

They were all over ebay years ago. I don't know if you'll find any pictures, but you can always try Google. Try looking for "N1 style" muffler or exhaust.

The hangers on yours look different then mine.

compare them closely, there are subtle -but distinguishable differences.

i noticed that too but its just the angle, the hangers at the end of the exhaust before the "Y" are like yours, i ran out and checked and its the same. i think it'd be pretty sure that its an apexi exhaust still, they're exactly the same!

I'm running the rotary for this season and only doing the swap if it blows. I would hate to have my car in pieces through this season... the swap can wait and it will give me a chance to build the LS1.
