APEXi N1 Replica?

I noticed e-bay has countless amounts of APEXi N1 replicas. Has anyone used one?

What exhaust are you using? How do you like it? How loud is it?

I posted this in the lounge, but no one answered so don't yell at me if you've seen this thread there.

i have an apexi n1 knockoff from rx7.com its very nice quality and i would recommend it, it touches the frame in a spot slightly but well worth the money saved as for ebay n1's those are just the cans

I ordered an N1 style muffler. It's good qulity and well made, I'm going to have my buddy weld it on with 3 " piping for a "custom" cat-back once I get the engine rebuilt. I'll let you know.

Yeah, let me know because I'm pretty curious. Mufflers don't really have much to them and they aren't hard to replicate.

i use to think the same way until i bought a ebay fart can and put it on my 240sx. i took it off because i feel a homemade exhaust just isnt the same as the real thing. there is a reason apexi, trust, hks, etc dump money into R&D.
