if you just do a search, you will find a lot more pics a lot faster than waiting for people to post pics.

It appears to me that the light beams in the RE will be clipped by the bumper. The problem with installing fixed lights to the FD is that the slope angle of the hood at the location of the lights is too shallow. This fact makes it difficult to install fixed lights without causing the light beam to hit the top of the bumper. That's why the C-west has the hump to raise the lights above the bumper. Actually I kinda like the hump, which follows the contour of the lights.

yeah...i like the bumps too. they are not obtrusive. they flow very nicely with the original curves of the hood and bumper, IMO. i like the C-West more than the RE.

thanks again guys those pics you all posted were very cool and helpful. Yeah i really do like the cwest better and i didn't even think about the whole deal with the lights being blocked out by the bumper as with the re amemiya. one last question, do the cwest lights come with covers? if so what color are the covers and are these light HID's and if not is it possible to convert them to HID? ok well that's more than one question but thanks again for all the help.

The C-West kit comes with clear covers. The lights are CATZ fog lights, not real headlights, and they're definitely not HID nor do they have bulbs replaceable by an HID conversion kit. To do so would require extensive modification of the kit.

will the catz fog lights work well. will you notice an increase in visibility at night or will it decrease. safety is always an issue. sure it may look good, but an FD in a telephone pole sure wont.

They're not true headlights, therefore they will not cast an ideal beam pattern on either low or high beam, but they will put more light in front of the car than the stock lights.

hmm now i'm not so sure i'd wanna do it. i want the headlights to be effective without using the highbeams at 120. Since I dont have all that great nightvision i really want xenons. after having driven with them on a friends car i hate driving without them. o well if they do produce more light than the standard lights it might still be worth it. thanks jimlab for the response.

I am personally going to buy the East Bear kit for my FD. This kit has no covers but that is a plus as they wont fog up and collect moisture like the others. This kit is also about half the price of the c-west at $600. This is the best way to go IMO.

the east bear kit def has a better price, but the lights don't look as sleek and mean looking as the cwest lights. plus don't the beams get cut off by the bumper like with the re amemiya?

The c-west kit is pretty nice, one of my best friends has them on his car. They are bright as hell when he's behind me. and they have good lighting too. If you're worried about lighting put some Catz fog lights on your car and you won't have any problems. The only problems with the c-west kit is it requires a little modifications, nothing major, and if you screw the cover on to hard, it will crack, overall it's a nice piece.
