hmm i'm startin to like those re amemiya's more and more, how much better is the lighting offerred from the re's vs. the cwest. also since the cwest is really a pair of fog lights in each lense does that mean there are no highbeams? i'm a little confused

hey tpcplaya, do you have any straight on pics with the cwest lights vs the re lights? interested to see which one looks meaner when you see them coming up on you from behind.

Well okay let's see. The RE's and the East's do get off, but who the heck would wanna blind the driver to the right and left of your car when you are driving? The reason they are back more is that's how they were designed. To increase visibility to the front and not 360 degrees (didn't meant o pun on that one heh). Okay that covers that part.

Also can you get glass covers instead of plastic for those suckers? Hell if you can't I'm making some. You guys all knwo that the Europeans got it bad!

They all look good really. They even have replacements for if you still want to pop up your lights, but want the RE look. Actually looks pretty good. Don't forget that C's has a carbon fiber housing and only that type so that makes it expensive. As for the East Bear's and RE's, you can paint the housing whatever you liek to get that off look or sleek look or watever look! It's all about experimenting.

Oh yea that reminds me! I met this one guy who has the full mazdaspeed bodykit plus the c-west lights over at a nearby Subuaru dealership and well we chatted for awhile. Found out he was selling his FD for $34, but thats not the point :p. The point is that he's got pulled over multiple times he says for having the lights, because they aren't street legal. I want to make sure you guys know this. So I'll BOLD it for you. The C-West headlight kit is not street legal!!!!!!!!!!! Reason being cause they emit a purple hue do to the fog lights. Ok I feel better now. Read the box they come in its for 'off-road use only'. All the other kits though are street legal...just so ya'll know .

I like to answer questions too...

Whats up with the taped up fender wells?
Those are taped because I'm guessing that car was shipped from a land far, far away...

Crap I think that's the only question unanswered...o well...till next time kiddies!

EDIT: Zootalow! I missed one! Something about high beams. O well I can't answer it, but I will try...think the C-West has the low and the fogs. The fogs replace the high beams and should be used sparingly cause liek I said, illegal street usage!!!! That is all....for now...muahahahha!!! Toodaloo.

thanks for the pics guys, and also for that bit of info on the cwest lighting not being street legal, that is somewhat encouraging to me because perhaps they aren't legal because they are really bright, which is good for me i want to be able to see everything. i am not too worried about police, at least the ones near me never seem to care about illegal stuff on cars. now one more question, does anyone have a pic of what the cwest kit looks like at night??? TpCpLaYa i'm looking in your direction...

East Bear Light Kit

None of these light kits are DOT legal.

I have the eastbear kit and I have to say that it is the most install freindly kit there is. It's fully plug 'n play and no cutting required.

here are a fe pics of my car, ignore the damage. That's the reason I have the new lights, and a new front end going on soon. F$#@% 'n DEER

I would guess it is for racing....so you don't throw rocks and rubber up on the nice paint...

The taped up fender is b/c he was shipping it. That car is a show car and he took it down to FL.
