The C-west kit fits like ****! On most of the pics Ive seen the whole pod sticks up higher than the body... not to mention that ugly bubble. The east bear kit makes no sense.... it just ruins the lines of the body. I am waiting to see what Jimlabs kit will look like. If that never happens then Ill probly go with the RE.

Can't you just install Gourmet Garage HID lights (www.overboost.com) into the C-west kit? I thought that kinda setup works with whatever lights you got. If someone knows more, speak up.

No, unfortunately you can't.

The HID kits (Philips and others) replace specific bulb types in housings designed for those bulbs. Even if you could pop the backs off the CATZ driving lights that come with the C-West kit, the housings are still not designed to hold a standard H4, H1, 9006, or whatever style bulb kit you buy. And the beam pattern would still be incorrect for both high and low beams because of the housing design.

i wish someone would make an HID kit for the re's that seems the most feasible sine they are real headlights unlike the cwest.

The REs are just driving beams, it lacks the clear, defined cut off required for a head light application. Also the housing cuts off lighting to the side.

RE has new lights for their kit, not sure if it is HID but it sure looks nice.

Knight Sports came out with a half pop up HID headlight conversion, AND they also have an HID conversion for the regular lights(sorry no fixed headlight conversions), here's where you can see what I'm talking about:

The only problem is that car has been around since 1997 or 1998 and the MR2 Spyder only dates back to 2000...

The front end doesn't block very much light. I am very happy with my east bears. Yes they were modified to accept Hella 90mm.
