i'm sure the RECARO SRD's won't fit a FD because i have the RECARO bucket seat in my FD and that barely fits perfect and the sholders on the SRDs are 2" wider than my buckets. i had the sparco evo buckets before and the sholders are 1 1/2" wilder than my RECARO buckets.i'll post pictures.

Height gain (if any) was small...maybe 1/4-1/2 inch because the seat are less padded then stock. I used the OEM sliders (because no one make brackets for the FD) and a couple aluminum bars to attach the seat to the oem sliders.. www.jayspec7.com used to have some directions because I gave him pointers and he did a write up on his webpage..

I dont know if everyone got the email or not but someone opened up a site called www.horsepowerfreaks.com. In the site he has some sparco seats and brackets. I asked him specifically if they would fit our car... and he told me they were a direct fit(dont know if its true or not).

Well I've had my seats for a few years now...so I have not checked since that time.. There could be brackets by now ( I kinda doubt it)...but you never know. They did make brackets for the FC...maybe he's confused...

There are brackets...generic...but I want bolt in....

I've had a long relationship with Corbeau over the years (as a customer) and I believe they were working on FD-specific brackets several months ago. It may be worth the effort to ring them up and find out if the brackets are complete. I used a pair of GT9CS seats (no longer made) which are quite large, mated to aluminum brackets. I used the Corbeau sliders and fabbed everything else up myself. Wasn't too hard really....As soon as the car is out of the shop, the seats will go in and I'll take a few images for people to see. BTW..had them recovered in Ultrasuede (looks/feels just like real suede, great wear characteristics and VERY easy to clean) which is grippy like the material used in the R1-specific seats.
