Advanced Keyless Entry Thoughts
What do you guys think about this type stuff. Essentially its keyless entry and keyless start without keys like new nissans and mercedes and lexus and blah blah blah.

Wow I'm loving this. I've had an Infiniti and a Nissan that both had the rf entry and needed no key to start. It sounds silly but it is so nice to never have to pull the key from your pocket.
I have an R2 and I have no remote to unlock the car. I've been looking for an option like this and would love to hear how your install goes. Please keep us posted!!

Someone's gotta bite the bullet!
I've had my eye on this since a previous thread a few months back. I'm not really keen on the push-start, seems too upper class. The turn-**** version is what I'd shoot for, just as easy but retains that good ol' crank. Without turning the ignition it just doesn't feel like a car to me.
But man, imagine like driving to CVS (LOL) and just parking the car with the motor on, getting out, doors lock, buy your ****, come back, and the doors unlock. Would be sick! Maybe CVS isn't the best example, but c'mon, there've always been times if you've driven a more modern car that you drive up to the curb, dash to your front door, and then realize your keys are still in the ignition lol.

Hmm I was thinking about adding an alarm set-up. Hell I could install this instead. No one bite the bullet yet?
Edit: Should have known this would be on Youtube. This video has me sold on these units. I especially like how you can still use the accessory mode by just pressing the button like that. I may also install this on my 2000 M5 because my ignition key tumblers are going bad.

I actually like the Mazda design because it's very simple and reliable. Simply push down the lock on the drivers door and the passenger side automatically locks. No need for a seperate lock button. Remember that Mazda didn't start designing this car till the late 80's. Back then, keyless entry wasn't that big of a deal. Now I can see the hastle when trying to add keysless entry.

I am probably going to grab this, but who know how long it will sit until more important things get done.

Is the lack of interest, or rather the lack of people implementing this device, from the fact that it might not work due to how the power locks are set up or possible electric connectivity/compatibility?
Maybe I could contact the company and make an inquiry if this product would work on our cars?
