Could we get this plugin installed so those who use Tapatalk don't have to use the mobile app that crashes all the time?

 

The Garage Talk App already exists.
Placing another App on the Site is expensive and frankly not warranted.

 

But posting photos from GarageTalk does not work.

 

If were willing to get the rx7club app working ill donate 25 bucks.

(there is a reason it is called an RX7 app..it acts like one..!)

 

There was a while where the app was working fine. A few glitches here and there, but was usable for the most part. I think there was a vbulletin update, and that was that.

Garage Talk isn't bad...but it just doesn't work right. If I could upload photos I'd be fine. This is 2016, attaching photos from a mobile device should be a non-issue.

 

Well if you are really concerned with the whole "I can't post pics from my phone" deal then you can hit the Link at the bottom of the Homepage Marked CONTACT US and inform InternetBrands that the world is ending.
But even in 2016 there is such a thing as Money issues,and tech glitches so I'd just live with it,Until IB can find their solution to fix it..as the Site is here for you FREE of Charge..
If you need to post pics so bad it would not hurt you to sit at your desk top for 2 minutes.

If you Think of it this way: the CAR itself was stock at one point and someone modified it..It may not have worked well the first time but the bugs would eventually get ironed out..Nobody made it perfect,but it was TIME and Patience that made it work.

 

How much would it cost to get a good app up and running? Maybe we can start a fundraiser or donation thread. I think a lot of people would be willing considering majority of people are surfing rx7club on their phones. I think its worth a shot. Whats to lose?

From what i've heard, there's people dying for work like creating apps and web pages...

 

Again,it is at the discretion of the owners of this Site to pursue any changes that they deem fit.They own it,they have people maintain the basic operation of it.
They have us Volunteers do the every day run of the mill operation of the Site and that is why posting about contributing to the cost is not really going to be heard, So IF you feel the site is not operating as it should then please feel free to Contact IB.
IB doesn't monitor the site 24/7 so any grievances can only be addressed if you actually contact them.

 

I actually stopped using the app, and just use my Chrome app to access the web version of the forum. And I agree that tapatalk works amazing. I have all my other rx7 related forums on that app, and can easily access them all. Wish the rx7club was on there too...

What does it implicate to "upgrade/update" the app from GT

Perhaps I'm just too much of a rotor head but
I feel like we should have our own app..excluded from the pistons (I love them lots) but iunno...

It's funny because I recently didn't have problem posting picture in throught the app , I simply wonder why sometimes bugs .

One day I had trouble posting a pics , so I went in the test section and posted the exact same picture , and it worked , I went back on the thread and posted the picture and again it didn't work ..whats was happening
Anyways...just my experience
