I believe that the CHROME browser is still a beta version so this forum has not fully updated for the use of that browser. Is there any way that you can use IE, OPERA, or Firefox for the time being to use the search?
Also, I don't know if this will work or not for you, but in every section of the forum, you can actually do a quick search. Look around for "SEARCH THIS FORUM". It should hopefully be there.
I will also PM this thread to one of the Tech Mods/Admins and see what they say.

Chrome is still in beta and is unsupported.
Problems in HTML display are rampant and differ widely on a number of factors that are unrelated to our forum design.
Sorry, use a better browser until Google gets their act together or bookmark that link provided above.

LOL... They yanked the beta tag, but Gmail is still in beta.. sounds like more of a marketing move since Chrome was D.O.A. than a technical achievement.
As of this time Chrome is till considered a very buggy and inconsistent browsing tool by most critics. I haven't seen any significant changes in the last few months.
Most likely once Chrome has met VBulletin php specifications they will release a patch that will increase compatibility, however this would not be something under our control.
FWIW - I've recommended the IB coding staff look into it, but I wouldn't get excited for any quick fixes.

FWIW - Looks like the guys over at Google are fairly aware that various items go missing from their presentation of the pages. They even have a "Somthing's missing" option to choose on their pull-down menu. See screenshot below::

Going to close this up since there is no more news from Google currently on their buggy browser. If there is any updates you will know about it more than likely before we will.
