why do i hit boost and it goto crap?

heres my datalog and fuel map. the only difference in the map is im using 36% less fuel across the board to compensate for 850cc primary injectors instead of the 550s the map was made for

need help quick... as stated in other threads it drives fine until i hit boost and then the ignition breaks up and basically drops out as it smells of unburnt gas

new spark plugs, tried adding and removing fuel from the map, tried moving the staging bar to the right (14 instead of 12)... please for the love of bob help me, im about ready to part the car out which would be a shame to lose a widebody FC with this kinda mods.

engine is a HBP w/ a t74-gts ptrim, .81 exhaust

injectors are 850 primary and 1680 secondary (all known to work)

Ok, maybe Halwin did not import the K map correctly on my computer, but it appears your injection mode is set to MULTIPOINT? It should be STAGED.

Also, you AUX OUT is disabled, it should be IGN TOGGLE and 0-5V.

There are a few other disecrepancies between my parameters and yours, but it is hard to say what is an import issue or not.

nah im pretty sure its not like that in the actual ECU itself otherwise how would i have driven it home :P but ill check and verify. and im 99 percent sure its ign toggle 0-5v but im sure that would give me this problem (no trailing spark) if its not set.

what do i need the spark edge, trigger edge, and home edge to be? falling or rising?

Quick question. I have my IGN TOGGLE set to 0-12V, as I thought the coil looked for 12V to fire. Is 0-5V the right setting, or should it be 0-12V?

Thanks,
Greg

Yes, the coil uses +12V for power, but the switching signal is 0-5V.

Rather than the 6K map, can you upload the map that is on your EMS (ie in 6X format)....

Wait a minute guys, billzrx7 if your ECU an E6K? why are you guys discussing toggle voltage? yes, its set to 5v, but your map is a K map, i was looking at your datalogg and the only 2 things i find odd are that at the 0-2psi mark around 2000-4000 rpms, im seeing around 5 mS and the timing is all the way up around 30 degrees leading and 43 degrees trailing, here is my analisys of this, something is making the ECU put too much fuel in when boost starts and that is messing up, also if timing is all the way up there at that point you are probably getting a **** load of detonation and that is why your engine goes to crap.

The strange thing is that the fuel maps and ignition maps all look correct, so something is making the ECU change them somehow.

You got a trim **** hooked up, i see its set to boost control, but i honestly cant find anything wrong with the map to indicate this strange behaviour.

His ECU is the 6X, he is just using a 6K basemap.

Hmmm... well, my conclusions are the same, in that case id need to see the X map, but why dont you try downloading one of may maps for that injector combo and the X.

Its all been properly checked and imported.

You can find it here:

E6X map, 550/1600cc injectors, some mods, turbo upgrade.

Just right click and "save as". And also, make sure all the initial settings are right, i think this map has a tooth offset set to 5, dont forget to change it, and make sure the timing is zeroed in, and all your PWM's are enabled in the same way.
