what do you guys think of the haltech f9a

so one of the guys at my work is selling a brand new haltech f9a for 500 bucks. should i pick it up or what? do you think that is a good deal?

F9 (and now F10) are fuel only EMS.

It is very powerful system for what it does. Basically an E6k, but without the ignition control. That is why it costs roughly half the money.

Would I spend $500 on it? No. I'd save the money and do full EMS.

check this out guys. he told me make him a offer because i told him 500 was over kill. now tell me what would be a reasonable price? and remember is brand new.

It's outdated tech - I wouldn't touch it unless we're talking $100.
It's been superceded by the F10A (I think?).

I agree as well. The last time I loaded the software on a F9 it felt like it took over 60seconds just to go online compared to just a few sec with the K's.

I still see a number of the "old school" rotary guys using it at the tracks but then again these are the guys that lock their distributors and just care about going down the track vs overall driveability.

yes old tech but It still has it's uses however.
i would use it on a turbocharged bike. Quick and Easy...
On a car however your better off getting something else.
