Haltech trailing coils not firing
I have a 88 T2 with a mild sp,t-60 turbo, 1600 secondaires 550 primaries, anyways I am using a e6k and have my trailing coil wired up according to hitmans website, blk/wht wire to the pink wire on the coil connector, and the green/blk wire wired to the white wire on the coil side, anyways I get no spark from the trail coil verified using a timing light and yes my light is good cuz it works on the leading coil...any ideas? I am trying to get my car to run to take it to revoultion this weekend....thanks for the info and help.......
could maybe a timing problem be the cause of this? I was using hitmans way of adjusting the trigger angle value with the timing lock on and set to -5, now I was reading in my haltech manual and it says to manually adjust the cas till the timing mark is on with the pointer, which way is right for my engine? series 4 13BT.....
come on guys I need help here, I am completely lost and have no idea what is wrong. for the 2 wires you hook into on the coil side, the pink and white one, did you just cut the wire in half on the car side and then connect the haltech wires, or did you leave the wires connected, and just scraped off the insulation and then soldered the haltech wires to the exposed wire? reason I ask is I don't know if it makes a difference or not...
well I went to setup, then input/output,and then went down to the "aux output" and hit the tab key till "ign. toggle" came up, I then hit enter cycled the key off to on and then started the car and checked it and the trails still were not firing, I dunno what is wrong. I noticed also that my timing is way off, with my timing light hooked too lead 1 with the timing lock on and set to -5 my timing marks are all the way too the left buy about 40 degrees. The map I am using also has a 11 tooth offset set in it, now I setup my CAS according to hitmans instructions to use the 3 toothoffset but if I change over to that, the car won't start. Could my timing being all screwed up be the cause of the trails not firing/firing sporadic?

Another thing you might want to change is the tooth offset.
I've never had too much lucky running very high (10 or more) tooth offset, and I think it has something to do with the overun into the next HOME signal that resets the TRIGGER side.
If you're running 11 and nailing the L mark, I think you can just reset the tooth offset to 2. The problem with this is that you need to verify if the trailings are firing correctly - they might be firing backwards, and an easy trick is to just swap the trailing spark plug wire positions.
