symptoms of a blown home trigger input?

ok, so i found out somebody sold me an e6x harness with an e6k ecu.. the main wiring difference is that the e6k Home trigger input GND is +12V on the e6x harness.

I rewired it back correctly, and now im finally getting rpm readings.. but when cranking it is only 60 rpm, is that normal? This is with a fully charged battery. Im hoping the home trigger isnt blown out

how do the main and home trigger inputs work? Looks like the 24 tooth wheel is the main trigger, the 2 tooth wheel is the home trigger, correct? so is the rpm determined from the 24-tooth wheel? so if the home wasnt working i wouldnt get spark but would get rpm?

it may be just my cranking map, im going to mess with it and see what happens. it sounded like it was catching yesterday, so it must be getting spark somewhere

You're correct. The 24 tooth wheel on the CAS is the trigger. The two tooth wheel is the home wheel. Since the CAs spins at half crank speed you get 12 trigger events per revolution and one home event. The home event tells the ECU that the cycle is complete, reset, and start all over. The trigger event is responsible for rpm. It does sound like you're not getting a home signal. Call Haltech and talk to them about your problem. That's the quickest way to get a sure answer.
