street tuning my e6k 13b turbo. help...
im trying to street tune mt 89 turbo2. i got a map from this site and it runs real rich. so im leaning it out and enriching some places. well first off when i just get on the throttle it leans out a bit , then it goes to around 11.1 afr and pulls really hard to 6500 with an afr of 10 to 11. then i shift into 4th gear and it leans out alot around 4500 and no power. if i drive at part throttle it seems to be somewhat better. what afr should it be idling at? right now its at 12. still seems to be rich. any advice would be helpful. thanks.

ive just started tuning with my e6k also. a 12.3 - 12.5 gave me the smoothest idle. under full boost you should be around 11.0 11.3. dont forget your timing maps, coolant maps & air intake maps. i started adjusting the main fuel map first, then when i got it pretty good i started adjusting the coolant map then the air intake map.
once i got my main fuel map done at idle, one morning i started my car when it was completely cold and adjusted the coolant map as the engine warmed up, watching the wideband making adjustments as needed. once i did this, it came out pretty nice. i did something similar with the air intake map too.
as for tuning for part throttle and full throttle, you will have to do a ton of datalogging constantly watching the wideband. when you datalog, it tells you what map/section it reads off of. if you are leaning in that area, then you can go back in your maps and make adjustments. keep and eye on your timing and duty cycles while dataloging. hope this helps...

i used half a tank of gas today. the car pulls hard and theres some lean spots between shifts. when i shift into next gear and go wot it goes lean and bogs. why would it run full boost in second and third it bogs from being too lean? i datalogged and theres no afr. do i have to set it up?
It would make sense to have lean spots between shifts. If you have 'Decel Fuel Cut' enabled.
Also, if your throttle pumps are not set up correctly, then hitting the throttle could cause you to go lean and bog when you step back on the gas.
We don't have much data to go on, so it would help if you posted your datalogs.

ill try to post my logs but thats going to take a while. it goes lean when i step on the gas going into the next gear. so i should adjust the throttle pump map? when i start it up it runs lean and if i hold the gas for about a minute it, it runs rich when i let it idle. so do i adjust the post start map? it doesnt matter if its cold or hot outside. thanks.
If youre going lean on throttle tip-in, then yes, it sounds like you need to adjust the INC value on the throttle pumps. Mind you, it also depends on how lean you're actually getting.
The POST START MAP is mainly used for the few seconds right after start up. And, is generally only required when the car is warm. Every car is different, but my T2 doesn't need any post start enrichment.
If your car is going from lean at start up, to rich a minute later, your correction maps probably need adjustment, most likely the coolant correction map.
When first starting the car, you should to what rx7man said above: as soon as the car idles correctly, start adjusting the coolant correction map until the car idles, and drives smoothly from a cold start to operating temperature.
