ssr issues on elite 1500

so I'm using a dorman ssr from a chrysler town and country to control my meth pump.
I'm using a dpo from an io box. I have wired per instruction that came with relay n chrysler wiring diagram
my problem is for some reason the pump stays on all the time.
I've tried swapping active states an no change

I've checked for shorts between pin 1 and 2 and no short. I've tried another relay same thing. I am at total lost with it!!
any ever come across this?!

You may need a pull up resistor between the output and 12V. Did you purchase the relay from Tuning Technology, or are you just using that pin out? If you bought it from him, what does he say?

didn't think of a resistor
I purchased the ssr at local parts store. dorman looks exactly like the one from on tuning tech.
so I followed his wiring which is the same as the wiring diagram for the actual car I got relay from
pin 1 power
pin 2 power to load
pin 3 ground
pin 4 ecu output

weather I make pin 4 a high or low active state it does same thing

Some of those relays will go into fail safe if the duty is 0 or 100%. It could be that without a pull up resistor the relay isn’t seeing an actual duty signal. Just a guess.

ya not sure. I'm hoping everything is good on haltech side. I'm actually just gonna punt on that relay and ordered a haltech one and will retry with that

I'm having issues with my haltech ssr combo flowing fully
I'm thinking of changing it and instead of pulsing the pump, turn pump fully and use dpo in haltech io box to pulse a solenoid instead?
