Sprint RE VE Tuning?
Can the Sprint RE do VE Tuning?
After reading this thread, it seems it would be kind of nice to just run 1000cc injectors on my N/A S4 Rx-7 track car and eliminate the secondary injection.

But I'm playing with the software and loading up any rotary base map for the Sprint RE does not give me that option. If I load up a base map for a Sprint 500, I see the option available. Can I just load up a Sprint 500 map and then upload it to a Sprint RE or is there some other work around? Or maybe it is just not an option on the Sprint RE which would kinda suck. I see the option available on the Platinum 1000 base map too.
If that is the case, I guess I will just stick with staged injection with my stock injectors.

No, you can't load a 500 map on to the RE. So VE mode is not possible with the RE and you have to use staged injection with the RE. With the Sport, you can turn off staged injection and run VE mode with a rotary. VE mode is not compatible with staged injection in any of the models.

What if I do install 1000cc primaries and just disable the secondaries? Any benefits besides simplicity then? Or is it just easier to tune?
I am upgrading my E6K to a Sprint RE so if I keep the same injectors I guess I can try to transfer the map to the new ECU Manager software. I'll have to first transfer it to Halwin looks like.
You could run without staged injection. You would just set the staging point higher than you will ever see. I'm assuming this is an NA setup, so set the staging point to something like 10 psi and it will run off the primaries only. If you're using a good 1000cc injector I see no problem running it this way. You will still need to use injection time mode.
Personally, I wouldn't even bother trying to transfer the map. I've never had great success with the feature and doing it twice will most likely be a mess.

Thanks for you help guys, I am just going to stick with the same injectors since it will be an easier install. Chris I will be placing an order soon for various connectors and stuff.
Looks like I will be selling my modified E6X converted to E6K harness soon. It's too bad there is no workaround to get the VE tuning to work - seems like it is just a software option if the Sprint 500 can do it.
