Secondaries wont turn on..

hey all.

I just had my RE running great and decided to take everything off to powdercoat etc. and now it has a bit of a problem.
It still runs great until it gets to around 1 Psi (bar 13 i think) and which point it goes lean and just falls on its face. Its weird that it does this now because all I changed with the fuel system was painting the fuel rails. Nothing else changed as far as ecu or fuel go's.
I checked the injectors from the plug on the harness and they all check good.
I tried raising the crap out of the fuel bars where they kick on but to no avail.
tried moved the staging bar and where ever this is when it happens which is why i think its secondary related.
i replaced all 3 haltech fuses.
13b-RE block, not ported
550 stock side feed primary(high impedence)/1600cc top feed 2ndaries (low impdnce)
walbro pump, stock fpr.

Does it matter as to where injectors go as far as in relation to rotor 1 o r2??
I have 1 and 3 on rotor 1 and on rotor 2 i have injectors 2 and 4
Could that do it if i had 1 and 4 on rotor 2 and 2 and 3 on rotor??
Runnin out of ideas, and would appreciate anyones thoughts.

as long as you have injectors 1&2 on the primary rail and 3&4 on the secondary, it doesn't matter. they all fire once per revolution above the staging point.

if you pull the pins from the ecu, you can have a friend hotwire them with a 9v battery-you should hear a click coming from the injector when wired up to the battery( make sure not to hold it on there, just tap the pin on the terminal a few times--this will test basically the whole system. if they don't click, you've got a problem with the wiring or injectors somewhere. if they do click, it might be the injector driver in the ecu.

*edit for typo*

did you check the connectors really well? that happened to me once when i took the manifold off to get to that one bolt wheh i changed the clutch--that was back with the stock ecu, but same principle. a wire just backed out of the connector. it's worth taking another look at imo. just to rule it out-if for nothing else.

Weirdest thing.

I shot all the injector wires from the ecu to the injectors and they are all fine. Injectors are all correct, map is good.

If i make a change in the programming the would normally affect it (fuel wise) it doesnt have any change.
I can put the stage bar to 0 and it wont change anything.

So the secondaries are def. not turning on however all the 1-4 injec. wires are good. I'm gunna check the power side now.

Looks like im rollin to SS7 on two 550's maybe i can get some help from the guys there..
Thanks
Jason

Same thing was happening to Red when his stock FPR died. Also make sure you have good grounds, when you powdercoat things anything that uses that item as a ground source is inhibited some. Try putting the 2 primary connectors on the secondaries instead if it starts and idles prolly rich as heck then your secondaries are fine but could still be a fuel pressure problem.

what did this turn out to be?
i'm having a really similar problem now

i did all the idiot checks and made sure all 4 injectors were firing, but the car falls flat on its face @ about 1". i adjusted the fuel & timing maps up n down but no difference.
