Need E6K Software newer than V. 6.34!!!
When i connect my Computer to my haltech it says that i need a newer version of the software. i got the only version from haltech's website and it dosent work.
The haltech was installed by the previous owner, and he didnt give me any software or tell me what version i needed!
Any help from anyone who could send me a newer version would be great!
thanks.

ok so when the haltech first loads is says like serial number is 8 and firmware is 16...
so does that make it Version 8.16??
anyway it will load to about 50% and then it will either say reconnect haltech or newer software version needed..

Guys, please keep in mind, when ever someone requests the newer firmware/software for the K series of ECUs, its our duty to point out that this sort of firmware was not publicly released so it may have its few bugs here and there, you upgrade to this firmware/software version at your own risk and assume all responsibility for using it.
With that said, there is a thread where you can download it. If C.Ludwig worked on that car, he's the most qualified to answer your questions or be the one who should finish the tune on the car.
V7.17 for E6K ECU
Please note, the link is to the thread on that forum where you will need to register on it to be able to download it. That forum has grown quite a lot with good Haltech info so you will benefit from it later on.

I can say for sure, unless someone else has tinkered with it over the last year, that is not the firmware version on that particular box. 6.34 was the last software I used on it. I have it. Just email me.
Back to the original problem. What kind of injectors did you swap in? Was there a problem with what was in there? There was a 680/1600 set in there that was more than capable of fueling the 57-trim turbo that's on there.

Guys, i dont mean to go offtrack here, but Ludwig, have you ever flowtested a pair of "680cc" 12A turbo injectors? I did once, the orange ones, i was told they were 680 too, but when i paired them up against a set of 750cc injectors they flowed more which leads me to believe they arent really 680cc but more like 800cc injectors.
Just a little FYI.

one of the injectors started leaking out of the side, so i bought some hks 680 cc injectors to replace the primaries... lol please dont tell me unless i get it re-tuned, that i will need to go get at least one gsl-se injector (one of them is still good) that is like $360 a peice or something crazy like that!
oh and i guess it just might be my laptop then because i haven't messed with the haltech.
...I didn't know they made a 12A Turbo...

They were GSL-SE injectors. I did have them cleaned and flowed when the car went together. Don't have the paper work here in front of me but don't remember them flowing anything well out of the ordinary. Even if the injectors he's put in are smaller or larger it's not going to rev to 3k and stay there. He's got a mechanical issue somewhere.

this is off topic, but we had 4 gsl-se injectors cleaned and tested, and they all flowed 700cc after
