Haltech Elite 750 @ Sema

Looks like we will be getting an Elite 750 from Haltech at the beginning of next year. Appears to have 6 ign/ 6inj outputs but no drive by wire. Not sure what pricing will be hoping it slots in under the 1500.

Nothing firm yet, but it looks like 6 fuel and 6 ignition drivers, one CAN bus, no DBW. Possibly fewer I/O. Maybe no knock control. More along the lines of what the Sport 2000 was in terms of inputs and outputs but with the advancements found is ESP.

I'm interested to see a comparison between the two. I've been dragging my feet to buy the 1500, and now this may be a more feasible option.

This is not 100% official but its really close. This is a really basic setup, TPS, MAP, ECT, IAT, O2,... Fuel Pump, Fan Control, IAC, Boost, Spare,.... CAS, 13b, 20b, Thats It.....It will be good for basic setups but, if you want to do anything cool you will need to step up to Infinity 6 or Elite 1500.

6 Injectors
6 Ignition
5 DPO
2 DPI
2 Home
2 Trigger
5 AVI
1 CAN Bus
1 +5v
1 Sensor Ground

what I think is interesting is that with the Can network you can just run a extender and basically get it up to what the 1500 was for outputs and inputs.

I am guessing the price of the 750 + the extender will higher than just going with the 1500.

Was told late first, early second quarter. Everyone has pretty well covered what it will do. 6x6 ignition and fuel. No stepper control, no DBW. 1xCAN. Other than that, should have most of the same features of the 1500 and 2500. At PRI the specs still weren't set in stone. Haltech has been concentrating development time on the 8 channel expander and drag specific driveshaft speed based traction control so they can get all that done for the Pro Mod type cars before the season begins.

Not for those that needed the Extender for the 1500 as well

There will be a couple things the expansion module won't do that still makes the 1500/2500 unique. Stepper and DBW control, for example. There are some neat things in the works for DBW that will make it more desirable for sure.

Sorry it's sideways. Imageshack decided it would be helpful to do that.

Per our email conversation? Yes, I would say so.

One thing to note. At this time, in a 2-rotor application, only 4 injection drivers can be used and only in a 2-stage setup. You can't control 6 injectors in 3 stages. If you have a 6 injector setup on a 2-rotor, you'll need to pair the secondaries on the two secondary drivers.

@Ludwig

what's the update on the 750 elite good sir,

will it be more than enough for a [single turbo 400+ 2 rotor 4 injector FD?] or is the 1500 the only way to go

It will be a good ECU for most anything. The things it lacks that I'm a little disappointed in are closed loop idle and boost control. The 1500 is a better ECU. It adds a LOT of features and is, IMO, the best thing going right now in it's price range. It all depends on what you budget is and what your list of must haves and wants is. Write out a list of everything you want to do and post it up or PM it to me and we'll work through what the best choice is.

note: I was wrong about saying only 4 injection outputs can be used. You can use all 6 to drive even more injectors. But you are still limited to 2 stages.
