fuel or just not warmed up?
Since I have a Haltech I thought I would post this question here.
When the car is cold, like before 170 it seems to have this problem of Pop,pop when accelerating. It sort of "puts you off" from getting on to it.
So,after about 15 minutes of driving and letting the car get nice and toasty(sits about 180-185) it will eventually let you Kick it down and boost the **** out of it.
Is this Fuel or just a Picky Engine that needs to be warmed up first?
Thanks Guys.STYX.

yah, sort of like a "I'm not going there..yet".The old setup did that too,so I just take it easy if it does that,no Pedal stomping, just accelerate lightly.
Funny the day before I let the car warm up good in the driveway and it boosted nice off the bat.
This time It wasn;t quite up to temp,so I babied it,until 170F..then tried to get onto it and it "said:no!"
I continued the drive and later it was Ok..about a half hour later.

That's weird... it could be a throttle pump issue. There is another setting under the throttle pump that is called "coolant factor". I never understood what the number meant, but I imagine is a multiplier of some sort for the settings. It "alters" them with a factor depending on coolant temps. Just a guess.
On the other hand, this is your engines way of telling you "don't push me I'm not ready!"
Not such a bad thing.

If it starts to talk back to me any more I am gonna call it "Wife #2"!
Sounds like Beefhole is onto the issue, but he's working with the older software. There is a coolant temp correction map in ECU Manager that controls transient throttle amount versus coolant temp. Add some to the low temp areas and give it a try. My guess is, you're also a little lean of ideal when the engine is up to temp as well.
Read through the transient throttle setup in the manual (hit F1 to access the manual). Following the setup procedure outlined by Haltech will give the best results. Unfortunately, in the end, getting the transient throttle right is a bit of a black art. You have to do it by feel as a wideband doesn't react quickly enough to be of much use.
