E6X internal MAP sensor

So Haltech strikes again...

For those of you who may at some future date decide to install a new E6X and use the internal 2.5 bar MAP sensor in anything here's a little tip that took me the better part of a day to track down.

You must use Halwin v1.26 (latest version as of this writing) or newer.

I began programming the ECU with the DOS version of the software because I like it better. I'm just biased that way for no real reason. The DOS software has no way to select the internal MAP sensor so you just can't use it. Move on to the Halwin software that was on the disk included with this particular X. It was version 1.23. Has the option to select the 2.5 bar internal MAP sensor but the reading sticks on something like 11psi of boost at all times. WTF? Made a post on the Haltech forums and get a reply that you must use v1.26. Download v1.26 from the Haltech site and the car fired right up. Lesson learned and a great thanks to the gentleman that responded.

The first suggestion i am going to make to you is this, the shorter the vaccum line is the less chance for wrong readings. Second, if you have to have a slightly long hose to connect the sensor, i suggest you find either hard plastic/teflon tubing, or that little thin vaccum line that autometer oil and boost gauges use.

Thirdly, the latest version of X software is the one to use. I see v1.26 is out, but v1.25 also works.
