CAS reusing stock clip Q's
I found the clip to my CAS from the drivers side cpu harness. Can I just clip this off and spice into the haltech CAS wires? I know which colors go to which, but I wanted to know if I can just cut that clip with no ill effect.
Also on the drivers side there are two harness...one is CPU for headlights etc and one has the alternator...cas..oil pressure sending unit. Do I need to keep that one as well or can I scrap it and use the bare essentials?
Also upon intial startup and tuning should I neglect to wire up my bac and just leave it temporary unplugged?
And when I intially start up haltech I am not using road speed sensor or idle speed motor...do I need to shut these options off in the menu, or just leave them be...because once I start this car and get it running I am going to clip off all the connectors I dont need because I want my bay to be as simple as possible.

Yes, you can cut the clip from the CAS off the alternator harness and use it for the Haltech. Just keep the shieled haltech loom as close to the clip as possible when you solder the wires together.. and.... don't go by the wire on the clip you cut off.... go by the wires on the CAS and the POSITION of the wires on the clip (if you look, you'll notice that the wired on the car harness are DIFFERENT than they are from the CAS..... make sure you are hooking up to the right CAS wire position)
I kept everything on the drivers side intact... the only thing you don't use again is the CAS...
I waited until after I got everything smothed out to monkey with the BAC... BUT... you'll have to re-adjust your coolant temp fuel map once the BAC is wired up.. no biggie
Seems your running a second gen if you are using a CAS... you won't be using the road speed or Idle speed motors anyway..... I just clipped the wires off even with the black sheathes on the haltech loom and taped 'em up and folded them into the rest of the loom.
DON"T forget to take the windshield wiper and cruise control wiries out of the main engine harness.... our you won't like it when it rains.. (if you're not using cruise, you can forget those wires and connector)

thanks you sir for answering my question perfectly.
Once I get this part done I get to tackle the coils...which probably isnt a biggie but it is always intimidating untill you start the job.
