e6x interesting

Ok so i had the larger injectors running the car for a few days.. parked it for 2 days due to rain and now it wont restart. doesnt matter if i atf it, deflood it etc... plugs are clean, nothing has changed, timing while cranking is dead on. any suggestions? anyone have a basemap for an e6k or x with 850 primaries and 1600cc secondaries? I do currently have the working 850 primaries back in the car.

Heres the setup

BDC half bridge
40psi static pressure
850 primaries
1600 secondaries
walbro 255lph pump

what kind of duration sh ould i be seeing during cranking on a rebuilt engine to get this thing to turn over? i think its around 4.9 right now with all other corrections zerod out.

Are you still getting an rpm signal while cranking?

My car will not start unless I have motronic mode on in DOS mode. The rpms read 0. When I turn Motronic 'on', all is perfect.

(I use DOS to tune at the moment, because the laptop I have sux for Halwin.)

Hey Billz,

Your problem might be just that, since you have all the corrections zero'd out you arent getting enough fuel to start the car. Also, like eVilRotor said, are you getting cranking RPMs?

Well ive seen plenty of ignition maps but i would love to see a factory ignition map table if anybody knows where one is. Its unfortunate that there isnt that much support for these kinds of cars, like the "H" brand, for example, anything and everything is so well documented it its ridiculous.

The "zero throttle" maps arent good for a rotary, the feature is there mainly for multithrottle engines that have irregular vacuums. It might work then again it might not, i usually dont use them.

Can you explain why it's "not good for rotary"?

It's a bridge port, hes expecting some vacuum signal issues.

I think it can probably work fine without the zero throttle map myself, but I don't see a problem with using it, as long as the TPS is mounted well the feature should work OK.
