e6k wideband & trim wiring question

i was wondering about how to wire this last part of my setup. i have a NGK AFX wideband and am looking into wiring it up. well i was looking and there is a wire for "spare a/d" which is where the wideband wires into (as far as i know) and then there's a "trim adjuster signal" wire then there's a "O2 sensor" wire. which one connects to the wideband signal and what the heck are the other ones? just trying to learn about this.

You can wire the 5V O2 output off the PowerDex into the O2 sensor lead on the E6K. It will then show up as voltages in the datalogger and engine data page.

so is one better than the other? (spare input or o2 sensor wire) is the spare input just a universal input?

sorry, i just realized ur asking more detailed information, which is exactly what i want to know.

from playing with the software, reading the manual & hearing what ive heard from you guys. this is on page 77 on the manual.

the spare input function has the most options, which is why i wouldnt use it up for a wideband that is only gonna be datalogged. the o2 sensor wire can do that. (which is why i was asking) if the o2 wire can be used to datalog the wideband voltage, then ill just use it. the trim is similar to the spare input but cannot do as much.

I'm using the trim as a wideband input on a friends E6X. I had the unit sent in for bench test but still get intermitten times when the spare A/D doesn't work. I had the weatherpack connector on the NGK WBO2 already setup and the trim always seems to work so I have been logging it instead. So far so good though.

The trim is setup for so that you adjust several parameters through a trim **** that is connected your Haltech. The spare A/D is a spare analog digital converter for logging sensors or basically anything with a voltage reading. Its all in the manual.

The Spare A/D wire is a 0-5v input, just like the Trim, the O2 and the rest of the analog sensor inputs, if you want to just monitor the voltage coming from the Wideband 0-5v output you can input it to either the O2, Spare A/D or even the trim, they will all will log the 0-5v signal.

Now, if you want to run closed loop with your K you will ONLY be able to use the O2 sensor input AND you'll need a 0-1v signal, since that is what the K was setup for.

But, if you just need to monitor the 0-5v signal, use any of them.

Yes. If your wideband has both outputs. Wire the 0-5 into the spare a/d and wire the 0-1 into the O2 input. Setup the ECU accordingly.

With the right E6K software you can view/datalog the wideband in true AFR's instead of voltage readings.

E6K 6.34 'u' version. The 'u' stands for uego.

Your wideband output must be calibrated to read from 0-5v=10.0-20.0afr.
