Yeah I have the same problem. For some reason some of the E6k dos software won't print to file for datalogs over a certain limit. I'm actually writing a program that reads the datalog and outputs the data to a CSV text file.

It will hopefully do more later, i.e. point out A/F problems at certain points from either the A/F readings or just the Spare A/D with a lambda/wideband sensor.

Raven

If you are interested in getting it converted PM and I'll try to convert it for you. I've only done it with a 3-Bar map sensor settings.

Thanks for that info man!

I don't even have a running car with the E6K. Still need to install it. But I am just messing around with as much as I can so when it runs...I will be more comfortable.

Have you figured what the page limit is? I was playing with a 10 page datalog. I am guessing Haltech AU really dosen't care bout this anymore?

I will PM you when I get my car running Thanks!

I have the same problem.

I want to edit it into excel. Easier to read.

It happens with even only two pages to print.

I finally emailed Haltech and I am talking with Scott. He has been VERY fast to respond. He is checking on this problem!

Since you're on the topic, can you, how do you change the sample rate? Once a second, or so would be ideal I think.

I believe the datalog sample rate is fixed in Haltechs, about 5 times per second i think, what i know can be changed is the sample rate for the close loop settings.

Also, Wankel, are you trying to do datalogs with the unit without installing it? what are you doing, powering up the unit with out connecting it to the car?

If you want to play with the datalogg and see what it's capable of there is an E6S demo version that goes online and simulates a runing engine, allowing you to do datalogs, view the engine data page, etc., i can email it or post it here if anybody wants it.

Yep, you can't change the log rate...at least not on an E6K or E6X ECU.
It's fixed at 10Hz or 10 times a second.

Still does not explain why you cannot print to file a txt file then convert to excel. It only shows blank data.

Well, when i do it online it works.... I didnt get a clarification of when you are doing the datalogs, with a fully connected ECU or something on a benchmark?

O.

I have an old computer so I just datalog to disk. Then print to text. Then try it on my home computer on excel. Nothing shows up. Just the headings.

If you have an E6X, you have to select what you want to datalog before you start the datalog. If you have an E6K, you have to datalog to memory first, then save to file.

Yes, with E6K you do the datalog, then when the memory for the log is full or you finish the log you will see it on the screen, you can browse through it with the page up and page down keys or the arrows, at that point you hit P for print command, and it will ask you if you want to print to file or printer, after that you name and voiala!

Then you transform it into CSV format so excel can help you play with it.

In the E6X the log viewer does all this, so you might want to think about upgrading to the X someday.

Ok. I've know this from day one on how to log and supposedly import into excel. Also I'm not the only one with this problem. No matter what I do this is all I see on the TXT file

"Speed Press Cool Throt Air Batt Inj Advan Range "

Nothing else. No data etc etc.

This sucks. I don't even get NB input into the haltech. Its either 4mv or 1024mv. Haltech says it works and does not offer any info in converting to csv. Or even to why the txt files have no data. Just headings.

Thanks for you help Claudio RX-7. Its appreciated.

This is on the e6k. And all I did was use a different download of the 6.34 software. And it works.

Now all I need is to send my e6k back to haltech to get the narrowband to work.

I've got the print to file issue with my F10. I've logged the data to disk and it's saved on my hard drive. When I have the logged data open and try to print to file, it prints pages 1-10 and then the program crashes every time. I can't print any page higher than 10 either, so if I try to print just page 11, it crashes right away.

There is no later version of the F10 software that I have seen. I've tried both 7.08 and 7.22.

Well, Haltech finally responded to my inquiry. They state that it's a known issue with the DOS software but it doesn't sound like there's anything they're going to do about it. Maybe Raven BC can help out with the conversion?
