E11v2 home/trigger wiring - wtf?

Everything is going swimmingly with my E11v2 wiring until I get to the Home/Trigger/CAS wiring - according to the wiring diagrams there are 2 4-core wires, one for home and one for trigger.

The trigger is supposed to have:

White/Orange - +12v
White/Blue - Ground
White - Trigger
White/Green - NC

The home is supposed to have:

White/Orange + 12v
White/Blue - Ground
White/Green - Home
White - NC

However, on my flying lead harness, both of the 4 core wires contains Red, Yellow, Blue and Green wires. Can someone please help me figure out what the R/Y/G/B wires are supposed to correlate to on the wiring diagram? Should I use the colors from the E8 diagram (Yellow = Trigger, Green = Home, Blue = Ground) such as:

Trigger 4-core:

Yellow - Trigger
Blue - Ground
Green & Red - unused

Home 4-core:

Green - Home
Blue - Ground
Yellow & Red - unused

Help appreciated!

Where did you get that harness from?
That is more like an E-8 setup. You should 'pin' it out to be 100% assured.

I got it with my kit from CLudwig on here.

Looking at the E8 diagram though there is only a single 4-core wire for the trigger & home. I still have 2 separate 4-core wires, only the colors don't match the wiring diagram!

Will take a look at the pins and make sure. Thanks!

Well what do you know, the pins are correct and match up with the E8-type colors. Mine is definitely an E11v2 harness but has the different colored Home/Trigger wires; everything else is the same.

Weird! Thanks for the help.

Spoke with Matt about this today and from what he said that is how all the E11 will ship. You've figured it out for yourself but for the record...

Red = +
Blue = GRD
Yellow on the Trigger Loom = Trigger
Green on the Home Loom = Home

Does that jive with what you've found? I'll be installing one later this week so this is timely info.

Yes that's exactly correct. It's the same wiring colors as the E8 only with the 2 separate 4-core wires for trigger and home. Weird that Haltech hasn't updated the wiring diagram on their site if this is how they are all going to ship from now on!

Seems they just made a flying production change to use the E8/E6X loom which I'm sure is cheaper. I'm certainly more partial to the braided shielding of the older loom more so than the foil of the newer one.

I dropped $.02 for you on the need to update the schematic.

E11 install

I'm going to from a PFC to E11 and I was wondering what the wiring entails. How does the wiring plug in into our stock system. I haven't had a chance to really research so sorry for the question.

Thanks

Aldo

Just a little contribution here, from what ive been able to see in both E11 and E8 it appears that E8's wire colors derive from the E6's color scheme, but the E11's are normally different. But i wouldnt be surprised to see different production runs with different color schemes than what we see in the diagrams. Worst case scenario just check the pin locations to confirm before you do the install with a multimeter set for continuity.
