Haltech In desperate need of a working E6X Map for FC!

In desperate need of a working E6X Map for FC!
Please I am having serious trouble with the map that I have. It is simply not working.
At first I could not get engine speed,
then I got engine speed by making the home and trigger 0
After this there was a wire problem that kept the fuel pump from working at all times.
Then it ran iddled rock solid and all then it would not start I attribute this to lack of compression (all assembly lube burnt off) I add some two stroke in the spark plug holes. No good.
So I push the car back into the garage, and then all of a sudden there is no engine speed.
I did nothing to the wiring, nor the haltech itself.
So I need a good working map that starts the car without any problem.
Thank You
If you could email it to
jreynish@shaw.ca
or
jreynish1@shaw.ca
Thank You alot.

probably not the map. start by checking all electrical connections. if pushing the car makes the system stop functioning then you still have unresolved wiring problems. any of the maps available on the web should start and idle the engine. even a quick map should start a new engine. you need to make sure everything is connected correctly and solidly.

I don't understand what the diff is, the wiring seems to be good I unwraped the entire harness, and everything is still connected/soldered good, I even replaced everything that wasn't already NEW.
I did reload a map after I moved it before trying to start it. so I am thinking it is programming, I would like to try different maps, however I haven't been able to find an E6X map. they are all E6K and they come accross with only the fuel that is correct even the ignition is "off".
This is the reason I ask.
Thanks
Jeff

I would not be so concerned with the Haltech wiring harnes. Your install seems to be patched into a stock wiring harness. right? the oem wiring in these cars is terrible and prone to problems. a bad connection feeding power to your system could be the problem. when it works fine one minute and the next time you try to start the engine and it doesn't work at all sounds like wiring issues. you can use the haltech program to make a quick map for the ignition and fuel and the engine should start. I would also replace the plugs as they are likely fuel fouled by now.

nope there is no part of this harness that is patched into the stock harness not even the connectors, they are brand new. I am inclined to think that it is programming or the system itself.
But if you have any other tips or hints please maybe something will jog my memory.

I'm just about to start a build up on a Cosmo /TII into an FC with the E6X.. not looking forward to a new product install with so little background support for it.. I'm just hoping that the flat shift setup will work with the cosmo..

Ok... jrevnish... few things. First off, are you getting consistent engine speed and spark when you crank? Disable injection, and check the spark (L1, and T1), with timing locked at -5 and they should each be bang-on their respective marks. Also, the engine speed at crank should be very stable and reflect more or less what you see on the stock tach. Also, pull all four plug wires off the block, again with injectors disabled, and put them on four spark plugs. Lay them like so: L1 T1 L2 T2 and crank to make sure you've got consistent, regular, spark on all 4 of them. Make sure they fire more or less together in their respective banks.
If ignition looks good, then proceed to plug them back in, and check fuel. Your injector on-time at idle should be ~1.8-2.2 ms - slightly more when cranking of course. If you've got any serious probs come over to nopistons in the ECU forum there are a number of very very helpful people there.

DigitalSynthesis,
I have gone over these things about a billion times even spent $50 on long distance calls to AUS, and now the haltech has been sent back for repair everything else was checked, everything. with them over the phone.
So now I await the return of my haltech, and my return to my car.
But thank you for the suggestions.
